A lot of the time, we don't seriously consider what is underneath the hood of a car before buying it. We admit, we like talking about things such as color, style, and technology. However, a vehicle's engine is possibly the most important part of a vehicle when it comes to saving your hard-earned money, and there's much more to them than horsepower and cylinders. Toyota's model line offers a wide variety of vehicles that have the same or similar engines that all work hard to maximize performance while still being extremely efficient.
Toyota has earned a reputation for building some of the most reliable, versatile vehicles on the road, and the Tundra pickup truck is a big part of that success. Able to haul, tow and carry the heaviest loads, including the Space Shuttle Endeavor, the Toyota Tundra is the very picture of capability, and now Toyota has completely redesigned it for the 2014 model year.
On October 13, 2012, in what will be one hell of a marketing campaign, a stock V8 Toyota Tundra will be towing the retired Space Shuttle Endeavor to its final resting place at the California Science Center. The space shuttle and other equipment being transported will in total weigh nearly 300,000 pounds!
