The 43rd annual 2013 Tokyo Motor Show will be held this year from November 20th to December 1st and naturally, Toyota will be a big player at their hometown auto show. This year, they are primed to impress in a big way with five world-premier concept vehicles. Under the slogan "Fun to Drive, Again", these concept vehicles will show the company's future vision to bring the joy back into driving a Toyota. The concepts include a groundbreaking next-generation fuel-cell vehicle, a compact sports hybrid vehicle, and the "FT-86 Open concept", which is a convertible version of the popular rear-wheel drive Scion FR-S (known as the FT-86 outside of the US).
Not too long ago, the automotive industry experienced a major shakeup when a wave of new hybrid vehicles hit the market, headlined by the popular Toyota Prius. These gas-electric hybrid vehicles offered drivers the chance to cut down significantly on gas expenditures and reduced the amount of CO2 emissions -- in other words, a real win-win for consumers and the environment alike.
Whether you spend most of your time driving in Boston or one of the numerous busy highways nearby – I-93, I-95, Route 1, Route 2 or the ever-trafficky Mass Pike – there's always the possibility of a collision. That may mean with another car, a pedestrian or even an animal, depending on where you are. But with so many people and vehicles in such a confined space, it's always a risk.
The Toyota RAV4 EV (All-Electric) is delivered as a new vehicle exclusively to California dealerships, but we think there are plenty of Greater Boston drivers who would love having all the cargo space and versatility of a crossover without the gas bill. So we brought one to our Boston Toyota RAV4 dealership!
