The Toyota RAV4 EV (All-Electric) is delivered as a new vehicle exclusively to California dealerships, but we think there are plenty of Greater Boston drivers who would love having all the cargo space and versatility of a crossover without the gas bill. So we brought one to our Boston Toyota RAV4 dealership!
We admit we're biased when it comes to Toyota products, but we really do believe these are the finest vehicles on the road. That's why we sell them! You don't have to take our word for it, though, because there are plenty of consumer sites that back up our beliefs, not least of which is U.S. News & World Report's. The publication recently revealed its 2013 Best Cars for Families awards, and wouldn't you know it, there are two Toyota vehicles featured. The Toyota Prius earned honors in the Best Hatchbacks for families category, while the 2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid earned accolades in the Best Hybrid SUVs for families for the third consecutive year. U.S. News' Best Cars for Families awards are chosen using a weighted score from their own rankings, which compare cars on the basis of safety, reliability and the opinions of the automotive press.
We've already covered the major points of comparison between the Toyota Prius v and the Ford C-MAX Hybrid, but many of our customers are interested in the fuel economy of these two models. We've had to rely on EPA fuel economy ratings to compare the two models, but now we have some real-world ratings from none other than Wayne Gerdes, founder of CleanMPG.com and holder of the Guinness World Record for lowest fuel consumption in a hybrid.
Toyota has a well-earned reputation for reliability and durability, and the automaker's resume recently got a boost as three Toyota vehicles earned segment honors in J.D. Power and Associates' Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS). The Toyota Prius, RAV4 and Sienna took top marks in the Compact Car, Compact Crossover/SUV and Minivan segments, respectively. Meanwhile, the Toyota Yaris finished second in the Sub-Compact Car segment and the FJ Cruiser took third place in the Compact Crossover/SUV category. This just proves that Toyota has a durable, reliable vehicle for every lifestyle!
Last year, Wellesley Toyota began offering a full line of Prius vehicles for those of you looking for amazing fuel economy and a comfortable drive. The original Prius was and is a fantastic car, but Toyota realized some customers would prefer a slightly smaller version, while others would prefer a slightly larger version with more cargo space. That's why the Prius, which had been on its own since 1997, became a full fledged family!
The Scion FR-S was the first step of Toyota's plan to move away from their old reputation as "boring" and "plain" and become a more exciting brand. So far, their efforts have been a resounding success, as the FR-S has started to rake in multiple awards as we transition into 2013.

by Nai Nan Ko Jr., General Manager of Wellesley Toyota: As a professional of the automotive industry, I’ve witnessed too often the trepidation from the word “lease.” No matter whether he is a new customer or an old friend, eyes widen, shoulders rise, and hands are drawn: “No, I don’t want to lease a new car because I want to own my new car” is often the immediate reaction I hear.
