Yes, we are in the car business, but as a company we wanted to take a break from our normal posts to express our sincere condolences to the victims and families of the tragic events at the Boston Marathon yesterday.

Boston skylineNone of us will ever forget what happened yesterday in our beautiful city. You hear about this kind of stuff on the news, but never has it been this close to home. We've grown up watching the Marathon and cheering on the spirit of the runners, and Patriots Day is truly a more than a holiday in the heart of Bostonians - a day to revel with friends and family. When this sacred day was tarnished by the awful events at the finish line, it hit all of us deep.

Our family here at Wellesley Toyota was directly affected, as we had friends and family who were at the finish line or scattered along the end of the race in Boston. Everyone at Wellesley Toyota is praying for the victims, their families, and anyone else affected.

But this is also a time to reflect on the amazing strength and resilience of the people of Boston. Patriots Day celebrates the strength and bravery of the American people, and I was amazed at the response of emergency workers, first responders, marathon volunteers, spectators, and even people who had just finished the race. We opened our arms to each other, offering food, showers, and beds to those stranded, and the outpouring of love was truly amazing and overwhelming.

I think this tweet shows what Boston is all about.

We will continue praying for the victims and their families, and help in however way we can. We are so proud to be a part of this great city.

And even though this isn't Twitter, I'm still going to hashtag: #BostonStrong
