Toyota has earned a reputation for building some of the most reliable, versatile vehicles on the road, and the Tundra pickup truck is a big part of that success. Able to haul, tow and carry the heaviest loads, including the Space Shuttle Endeavor, the Toyota Tundra is the very picture of capability, and now Toyota has completely redesigned it for the 2014 model year.
The all-new 2014 Toyota Tundra took the stage at the Chicago Auto Show last week, showing off its chiseled exterior styling, cutting-edge technology and powerful yet efficient drivetrains. Engineered, designed and built in America, the Tundra will go on sale in September with class-leading features the competition simply can’t keep up with.
Much attention has been paid to the new Tundra’s interior, which will feature Bluetooth connectivity and a 3.5-inch color screen displaying pertinent information in the gauge cluster. There’s also an available blind-spot monitoring system and a rear cross-traffic alert system – two important safety technologies you won’t find anywhere else in the segment.
Engine choices are a standard 270-horsepower V6 and two potent V8 engines producing 310 and 381 horsepower. And because it’s a Toyota, you know these engines won’t drain your wallet every time you pass a gas station.
