For the past 4 years, Wellesley Toyota has been a proud premier sponsor of the Boston Asian American Film Festival (BAAFF). 2012 marks the 4th year that BAAFF has been successfully promoting Asian American film in the Boston area, and this year's event was the most successful yet! Showcasing films at Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square, the Paramount Theatre at Emerson College, and Somerville Theatre, BAAFF strives to empower Asian Americans through film by showcasing their experiences and being a resource to Asian American filmmakers throughout the Boston and New England area. BAAFF is a program of the Asian American Resource Workshop (AARW).
BAAFF gave the Boston community a taste of the outstanding contributions the Asian community is making to Hollywood and global cinema with outstanding films such as White Frog, featuring BooBoo Stewart and Harry Shum Jr., Pui Chan: Kung Fu Pioneer, and Shanghai Calling, featuring Daniel Henney and Eliza Coupe. Several directors, producers and actors from the various films made appearances at the festival as well.
After putting together such a fantastic event this year, we are really looking forward to seeing all the great films that will be showcased at next year's event!
